Get It

There exist two ways to install the plugin in eclipse:

1. Download LEP and copy it to the dropins directory of eclipse:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/lep/files/eclipse/plugins/
Requirement: at least Eclipse 3.6 and the CDT-Plugin, see
If the plugin doesn't show up in eclipse, see

2. OR add the following address to eclipse under Help->Install New Software...
Install LEP from inside and get updates automatically (if activated in eclipse):

http://lep.sourceforge.net/eclipse

Requirement: at least Eclipse 3.6
Optional: CDT-Plugin, see (parts are installed automatically)

Troubleshooting

Using eclipse debug mode to detect unresolved dependencies:

create an options file with the following content: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core/debug=true org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core/reconciler=true
now start eclipse with the following parameters and the path to the options file: eclipse -clean -console -consoleLog -debug /path/to/options
now the error log in eclipse shows plug-in problems, the log can be displayed
under "Window -> Show View -> Error Log". All unsatisfied dependencies for "net.sf.lep" have to be resolved by installing missing packages.
